Every day we receive your requests and pass them to the cathedral. In the cathedral, a real wax candle is placed and lit by the corresponding icon.

Is this a real candle or a virtual one? +

The candle is real. It is delivered to the cathedral, after which the same rite is performed as if you had come in person and lit the candle yourself.

What should I include in the request? +

It is enough to provide a name, the prayer intention, and, if desired, a short note or request.

Is a donation required? +

No. Everything is voluntary. At the same time, it is important to remember that the candle and related actions involve expenses, so if you wish you can voluntarily support the development of our project. We are not part of this cathedral and do not operate on its behalf. We only support Orthodox Christians who, for one reason or another, cannot visit the cathedral in person.

When will the candle be lit? +

On average, from the moment the order is submitted, the candle is delivered to the cathedral and then lit within 5 business days. The exact timing may depend on the cathedral’s internal schedule and workload.
